The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Sonnen. Those never looked like landing.
Sonnen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sonnen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sonnen clobbers Wakeling with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wakeling shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wakeling is breathing heavily.

Wakeling is rocked!
Sonnen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oh Wakeling is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wakeling loses concentration momentarily and Sonnen pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Wakeling crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Sonnen finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
