Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keith Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark West!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West tries a head kick but it misses.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown but West manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Taylor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Taylor throws a series of punches but West avoids them all with ease.
West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Taylor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Taylor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
West tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Taylor swings for the body but West moves out of range.
West has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Taylor is landing a low percentage of strikes.
West looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taylor is fending him off so far but West persists. Nope, Taylor circles away and we're back to standing.
Taylor tests West's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Taylor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
West blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West misses with a looping left.
Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.
Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but West moves away.
Taylor misses with an uppercut.

Taylor does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
West doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from West enables Taylor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. West manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

West makes his way to full guard. A much better position for West.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taylor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
West is trying to get back to full guard.
Taylor looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Taylor is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
West is not content to let Taylor control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

West is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Taylor scores with a couple of nice shots.

West is in a horrible position here. Taylor smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


West is rocked!
Taylor postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks West out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Taylor goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
