Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Nygma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nygma comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Just Like Daddy. Rivera has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Edward Nygma has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera with a poor takedown
and Nygma counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rivera looks winded!
Rivera has his takedown stuffed
and Nygma counters with a nice right hand that sends Rivera toppling to the canvas! Rivera scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nygma finish him?!
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nygma thumps Rivera with a low kick.
That kick from Nygma tenderised Rivera's leg. Rivera is trying to keep his angry face on.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nygma.
Rivera has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nygma.
Nygma throws a monster overhand right that drops Rivera! Nygma follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edward Nygma!
An out of breath Edward Nygma thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
