The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Angle misses

and Carneiro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Angle!
Carneiro wants to control but Angle is keeping him busy.
Carneiro connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Angle some visible discomfort.

Carneiro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carneiro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Carneiro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Angle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Carneiro but great work by Angle.
