Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gida Sima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kid Pichugo!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sima cracks the inside of Pichugo's front leg.
Sima gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pichugo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sima's guard.
Pichugo content to stall in guard here.
Pichugo works over Sima with some ground and pound from guard.
Sima looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pichugo throws a big right hand that misses.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pichugo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Sima is trying to keep Pichugo in close.
Pichugo drops back looking for a leg! Sima is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sima manages to kick Pichugo off! Pichugo jumps back into Sima's guard.
Pichugo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pichugo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sima's head.
Sima throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sima thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Pichugo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pichugo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pichugo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pichugo is in close to Sima's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sima is looking for a triangle here but Pichugo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Sima can't do much from the bottom here.
Sima is being controlled here.

Pichugo gets to mount! Sima was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Sima is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sima in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Pichugo with good strikes from the mount here!
Pichugo is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sima is forced to tap! Great finish!
