Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clubber Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edogawa Conan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conan has chosen Detective Conan Theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conan moves away from the strike by Lang.
Conan connects with a body shot that sends Lang's belly button to the back.
Conan throws a low kick, looking for Lang's leg but Lang calmly moves out of range.
Conan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lang was well out of range. Poor timing from Conan.
Lang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conan moves away.
Conan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Langs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Conan.

Conan throws the kick towards the body but Lang avoids it.
Conan throws a right hand that Lang ducks under and follows up with a left that Lang also avoids with ease.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lang dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Conan. That did some damage!

Conan connects with a right hand. Lang shakes it off.
Conan throws the left hand but Lang avoids the punch easily.

Conan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lang looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Conan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Conan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Conan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lang is looking to regain half guard here but Conan keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conan lands a nice forearm strike.

Conan swings around for an armbar but Lang sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Conan's guard.

Lang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Conan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Conan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lang's guard.

Conan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Conan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lang wants to control but Conan postures up.

Lang does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lang has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Conan finds it's way round the side to connect with Lang's head.
Conan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

My spies in Ryōzanpaku Dojo inform me that Conan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Lang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Conan's guard.

Lang has Conan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lang pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Conan tumbling to the mat - Lang dives into Conan's guard.
