Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shark Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shark Attack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attack slips a jab and a cross from Munoz.
Munoz throws a nice inside leg kick.

Munoz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Attack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Munoz prevents Attack from getting back to his feet.
Attack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Munoz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Attack is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Munoz dives into side control.
Attack takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Munoz wants to control but Attack is keeping him busy.
Munoz tries to score with some ground and pound. Attack controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Munoz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Munoz is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Attack goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Munoz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Attack but great work by Munoz.

Attack dodges the ground and pound from Munoz.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Munoz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Munoz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Attack is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Munoz is looking to take a break and control but Attack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Munoz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Munoz tries to score with some ground and pound. Attack controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Attack is working to avoid the ground and pound but Munoz connects with a decent elbow.
Munoz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Attack throws a hook to the side of Munoz's head but Munoz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Munoz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Munoz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Attack in his tracks.


Attack is rocked!
Munoz jabs Attack to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Attack will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A jab from Attack misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Munoz dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Attack throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Munoz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Attack takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Attack looks to land a body kick but Munoz moved away.
Munoz bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nice straight punches there by Munoz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Munoz.
Oh Attack is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munoz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Attack under the eye.
Attack walks into a straight right hand from Munoz.
Attack takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mark Munoz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Attack throws a leg kick but Munoz checks it.
Mark Munoz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Munoz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shark Attack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Munoz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Attack seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Attack looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Munoz lands a big uppercut and Attack crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Attack looks OK. Munoz waves Attack back to his feet!


It looks like Shark Attack has been cut.
Attack walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Munoz swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Munoz!
