The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin has Gracie up against the ropes in a clinch.

Griffin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.
Chris Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Griffin pinned against the ropes. Griffin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renzo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Griffin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Griffin plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Gracie to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Gracie just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
