Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Vanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Mizuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanko's entrance music is Oh No by Gogol Bordello. A fine choice. Ivan Vanko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

We've been informed that Mizuno has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Mizuno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vanko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vanko is on top in guard.

Vanko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Vanko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mizuno's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vanko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mizuno doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vanko.
Mizuno is trying to escape back to his feet but Vanko uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Vanko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mizuno, who protects the arm well.

Vanko winds up and cracks Mizuno with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vanko passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That has opened up Jun Mizuno's cut even more.
Vanko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mizuno tries to reverse the position but Vanko maintains control.
Mizuno is still in real trouble! Can Vanko finish him?

Oooooh, big shot lands for Vanko! Mizuno is hurt baaadly! Vanko is firing away with more strikes - Mizuno is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Vanko!
Ivan Vanko decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
