Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Costa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Victor Costa!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa misses with a hook. Mueller ducked under it nicely.

Costa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mueller, pushing him back against the cage.

Mueller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Costa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mueller tries to pull guard but Costa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Mueller breaks from the clinch.
Costa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mueller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Costa.

Mueller rushes Costa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mueller looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Mueller wants to stand and escape but Costa is having none of it.
Costa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mueller is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Costa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
You can see the frustration on Costa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mueller wants to take a breather but Costa manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Mueller.

Mueller shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Costa wants to get back to his feet but Mueller passes into half guard.

Mueller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Costa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mueller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Costa lands with a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Mueller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Costa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Mueller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Costa as he jumps to the side.

Mueller jumps guard but Costa turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Costa won't allow Mueller to sweep him here.

Costa throws out a loose jab but Mueller uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Costa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

I would just about give that final round to Victor Costa.
I think Costa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
