Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ken Essss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Birdman Lugz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Essss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Birdman Lugz!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lugz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lugz goes for a double leg but Essss avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Essss continues to drive forward.
Lugz blocks an uppercut.
Essss slowing the pace effectively.
Essss is trying to pull guard but Lugz has him pressed against the cage.
Essss pressing his opponent against the cage.
Essss tries for a takedown but Lugz manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Essss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lugz blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lugz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Essss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Essss has Lugz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lugz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lugz is trying to drag Essss to the mat but Essss just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Essss pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Essss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lugz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lugz takes the fight into the clinch.
Lugz has Essss pressed against the cage, preventing Essss from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Essss has Lugz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lugz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Essss wants the takedown. Lugz is fighting it off but Essss persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lugz's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Essss wants to control from the top but Lugz keeps moving.
Essss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lugz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lugz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Essss manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Essss is controlling Lugz's posture.
Lugz wants to control from the top but Essss keeps moving.
Lugz is fighting to break Essss's control of his arms but Essss is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Essss is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Essss fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lugz lands a lovely overhand right.
Ken Essss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Essss throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lugz counters with a stiff right hand.

Lugz tries to keep at a distance but Essss has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Essss will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lugz is defended easily by Essss.

Lugz has Essss pressed against the cage, preventing Essss from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lugz is working for takedown but Essss is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lugz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Essss pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ken Essss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Birdman Lugz.

Essss is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lugz is defending well for now.
Essss tries to land knees in the clinch but Lugz avoids the damage to the body.

Essss stops a takedown attempt from Lugz.
Lugz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Essss is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Essss breaks from the clinch.

Lugz drives through and clinches with Essss against the cage.
Essss dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Lugz decides to pull guard.
Essss works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Essss passes to full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lugz holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Essss tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Essss misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Essss throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Essss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lugz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Essss has hold of Lugz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lugz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Essss looking to control and managing it successfully.

Lugz blocking the ground and pound.
Essss sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lugz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Essss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lugz is bucking up trying to escape but Essss cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Lugz is rocked!

Essss wants to finish this one by submission but Lugz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Essss.
Lugz is still in real trouble! Can Essss finish him?
Essss postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Lugz out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Essss goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ken Essss!
