Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ernesti Koppinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alec Namiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koppinen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dorky-Fast and Energized. On his way into the cage it seems that Ernesti Koppinen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ernesti Koppinen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernesti Koppinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alec Namiki!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koppinen throws a hook to the side of Namiki's head but Namiki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Namiki fails in his attempt to clinch.
Koppinen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Namiki.

Namiki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koppinen, pushing him back against the cage.
Koppinen tries a knee to the head but Namiki blocks it.

Namiki manages to break the clinch.
Namiki tries to clinch up but Koppinen circles away and keeps his distance.

Namiki moves into the clinch.
Namiki using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Namiki landing some nice looking knees to the body.

It looks like Ernesti Koppinen has been cut.
Koppinen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Namiki is defending well.
Koppinen struggles to land a body shot inside as Namiki controls his hands.
Come on Namiki - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Namiki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Koppinen misses with a left hand
and Namiki counters with a good low kick that Koppinen was not able to check.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Namiki misses with a kick to the body.
Namiki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Namiki tries to clinch but Koppinen moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Namiki is looking to clinch.
Koppinen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Namiki. Namiki obviously looking to wear him down.
Namiki checks the leg kick nicely there.

Namiki has closed the distance and engaged Koppinen in a clinch.
Namiki tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Namiki trying to stall but Koppinen improves his position.
Namiki seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
Namiki stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Koppinen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Koppinen manages to end up in side control.
Namiki is looking for a sweep.
Namiki struggling a bit here.
Koppinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Namiki keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koppinen looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Namiki is avoiding damage well.

Namiki is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Koppinen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Koppinen is trying to get an arm triangle but Namiki is defending well.
Namiki felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Koppinen stands up and beckons Namiki to his feet.
Namiki is looking to slow Koppinen down with leg kicks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koppinen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Namiki moves in looking to clinch but Koppinen pushes him off.
Namiki throws a lazy right hand but Koppinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Namiki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koppinen.
A swing and a miss from Koppinen.
Koppinen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Namiki feints and then cracks Koppinen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Koppinen down.
Namiki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Namiki blocks a jab.
Alec Namiki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Namiki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A jab from Namiki does it's job there.
Namiki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Namiki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Koppinen.
Some bone on bone action there as Koppinen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Koppinen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Koppinen keeps the fight on the outside.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A clash of legs there as Koppinen blocks the low kick.

Namiki drives through and clinches with Koppinen against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Namiki wants to stall.
Namiki lands a good knee to the midsection. Koppinen won't want to take too many of those.
Namiki connects with a knee to the head.
Koppinen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Koppinen takes a knee to the side of the body.
Koppinen stalling against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Koppinen looking to slow down the pace here.
Koppinen avoiding damage as Namiki throws knees to the body.

Koppinen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Namiki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Koppinen looks to land a right hand but Namiki moved out of range.
Namiki throws a head kick that half lands.
Namiki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koppinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alec Namiki dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ernesti Koppinen's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Koppinen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Koppinen throws a body punch but Namiki moves out of range.
Nice body kick there by Namiki.
Namiki lands with a thumping leg kick.
Namiki checks a low kick from Koppinen.
Namiki will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Namiki throws a leg kick but Koppinen checks it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Namiki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Namiki tries to clinch but Koppinen moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koppinen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Koppinen misses with a looping left.
Namiki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koppinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Namiki lands a big head kick that sends Koppinen to the canvas! Namiki follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alec Namiki!
A very excited looking Alec Namiki made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Ernesti Koppinen stepped up to the mic, saying 'Loss again! Back to gym.. No way, i go to take a drink and try to reset my brain! Im out of title picture now.. damn!'.
