Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between eL JeFe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonnen has chosen Scream Aim Fire as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Sonnen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sonnen throws a sloppy body shot
and JeFe counters with a nice uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from JeFe misses the target.
JeFe pulls out of a head kick attempt.

JeFe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

JeFe rushes Sonnen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

JeFe struggles to land a body shot inside as Sonnen controls his hands.

Sonnen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sonnen is working for takedown but JeFe is calmly controlling the position for now.
JeFe looking to throw knees to the head but Sonnen is blocking nicely.
Sonnen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Sonnen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Sonnen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sonnen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling JeFe to score with a decent uppercut.
JeFe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Sonnen misses with an attempted mid kick.

Sonnen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. JeFe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sonnen lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Sonnen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
JeFe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if JeFe tries to get out of the position.
The strikes coming from Sonnen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sonnen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sonnen misses with a hook. JeFe ducked under it nicely.

Sonnen feints and as JeFe raises his hands in defense, Sonnen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
JeFe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sonnen passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Sonnen throws an elbow but JeFe slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sonnen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in JeFe 's half guard.
Sonnen is taking a breather. JeFe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sonnen is trying to control the action in half guard but JeFe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
