Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Head -Old. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cornelius Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bernard Bear!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a low kick, looking for Bear's leg but Bear calmly moves out of range.
Jackson throws a head kick but Bear moves out of range.
Jackson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bear if he has to take too many more of those.
Jackson throws a wild body kick that Bear sees coming a mile off.

Jackson slips under a jab from Bear.
Bear on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bear with a nice cross.
Jackson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Bear circles away.
Jackson dodges the punch combination from Bear.
Bear's coach down at Hand 2 Hand Combat $50 !!! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bear's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Jackson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Bear counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bear postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.

Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
Bear wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Bear loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bear on the ground.
Bear throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bear keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jackson's head.

Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jackson throws a leg kick but Bear sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bear avoids the head kick by Jackson.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bear swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bear stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson.
Bear catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson misses with a head kick.
Bear closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Bear pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bernard Bear will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bear bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bear fails with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.

Bear goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bear takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jackson throws a front kick aimed at Bear's knee but Bear avoids it well.
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bear manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bear dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Bear's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cornelius Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bear is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bear thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.

Jackson pulls Bear in close to his closed guard and prevents Bear from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bernard Bear has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bear misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.
Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bear.

Cornelius Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bernard Bear.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.
Jackson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jackson walks into a left hand.
Bear throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range.

Bear slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bear was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bear lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bear swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sloppy strikes from Bear. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bear.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bear's waist but Bear gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.

Bernard Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bear darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jackson throws a hook but Bear blocks it.

and Bear counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bernard Bear is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson is wriggling around trying to escape.

Bernard Bear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bear winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
