Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sol Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Ferentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferentino falls off balance throwing a combination
and Booker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Booker.
Ferentino is looking to stand up but Booker isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferentino has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Booker has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Booker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ferentino gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferentino has picked Booker up - he's going for a ride! Ferentino dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ferentino decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Ferentino closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Sol Booker has been cut.

Booker won't allow Ferentino to get back to his feet.
Ferentino has his feet on Booker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Booker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Booker wants to control from the top but Ferentino keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Booker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Booker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ferentino is looking to stand up but Booker isn't so interested in that idea.
Booker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Booker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ferentino is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ferentino has escaped and now he's on top!
Booker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ferentino wanted to stand there but Booker had control of the position.
Booker has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ferentino should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Booker has tightened it up now! Ferentino should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
