PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bastian Nokia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Rockzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockzo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Just a Rock 'n' Roll Clown -by- Doctor Rockzo. Doctor Rockzo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rockzo.
Rockzo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
A lull in the action here.

Rockzo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nokia keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rockzo shoots in and bounces Nokia off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rockzo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rockzo in particular looking to stall.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rockzo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nokia's guard.

Rockzo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rockzo's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Rockzo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Rockzo has closed the distance and engaged Nokia in a clinch.

Rockzo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nokia clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Nokia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rockzo on the ground.

Rockzo is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Nokia with him. Nokia is trying to defend but Rockzo has an arm under the chin now! Nokia grimaces and is forced to tap out!
