The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner misses with a takedown
and Cat connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cat tries to clinch up
and Wagner counters by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cat throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wagner is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Cat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cat shoots in for a takedown but Wagner shows good takedown defense.
Cat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wagner but Wagner pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wagner clinches up against the cage.
Cat is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wagner can't fight it off and eventually Cat manages to take the fight to the floor. Wagner looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cat wants to control from the top but Wagner keeps moving.
Wagner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Hilo inform us that Wagner has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Cat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wagner on the ground.
Wagner has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cat off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Wagner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cat to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wagner is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cat has his hands clasped together but Wagner extends and breaks Cat's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wagner.

A relieved looking Daniel Wagner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
