And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javier Ulrich!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost swings for the body but Ulrich moves out of range.
Ulrich avoids the body shot from Frost.

Frost rushes Ulrich and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Frost had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ulrich defends it easily.

Frost has his foot on Ulrich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ulrich works his way back into a safe position though.

Ulrich drops back, looking for a kneebar! Frost looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Frost looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Frost!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ulrich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Frost wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Frost swings around for an armbar but Ulrich sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Frost's guard.

Ulrich drops back looking for a leg! Frost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frost manages to kick Ulrich off! Ulrich jumps back into Frost's guard.

You can see the frustration on Frost's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ulrich is trying to get an arm triangle but Frost is defending well.
Frost is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Frost is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ulrich's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ulrich's back!

You can see the frustration on Ulrich's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Frost has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ulrich has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Frost is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ulrich won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Frost off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Isaac Frost!

A very excited looking Isaac Frost rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
In defeat, Javier Ulrich stepped up to the mic, saying 'Frost is one of the biggest, man. But I want to be the best. Now I'm going to the camp and train hard hard hard to be the champion here! Thanks family, fans, Rain and Imperial.'.
