Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antone Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Pajitnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antone Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vadim Pajitnov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pajitnov has his takedown stuffed
and Knight counters with a left and a right that stings Pajitnov.

Pajitnov clinches.
Knight really is a fat lump.
Knight keeps control of Pajitnov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pajitnov is trying to break free.
Knight swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Knight is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Pajitnov fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Knight throws a big right hand that misses.

Knight decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pajitnov, up you get!
Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pajitnov tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pajitnov to the ground. Pajitnov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pajitnov dives in and grabs Knight's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes down on Pajitnov's head and hops out.
Pajitnov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pajitnov somewhat.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Knight.
Pajitnov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Knight shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knight shoots in for a double leg but Pajitnov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pajitnov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Pajitnov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Pajitnov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Knight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Knight tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pajitnov lands a hook that snaps the head of Knight backwards.

Pajitnov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pajitnov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Antone Knight will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Pajitnov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Knight's guard.

Knight is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Pajitnov decides to stand back up. Pajitnov steps back and let's Knight get back to his feet.

Pajitnov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knight's waist but Knight gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pajitnov off to one side.

Vadim Pajitnov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Pajitnov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
