Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralph Barry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcelo Sousa!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Barry misses with a hook to the ribs.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Sousa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Barry has Sousa pressed against the cage.
Sousa is looking to break free of the clinch but Barry has double underhooks.
Sousa wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sousa has Barry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Barry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sousa crunches a lovely knee into Barry's ribcage.
Barry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sousa's efforts to push away.
Sousa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Barry has Sousa pushed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barry lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sousa or not.

Sousa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sousa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sousa looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Barry puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sousa tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Barry manages to move to mount!
Barry avoids the attempt from Sousa to control.

Barry is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sousa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Barry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barry thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sousa is working to get back to half guard.
Barry lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sousa throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Barry moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sousa has worked his arm free - good work by Sousa!
Sousa is trying to get back to his feet.
Barry misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Sousa looks to move to half guard but instead Barry has passed into mount! Damn!
Barry thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sousa tries to control the position but Barry now has his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barry misses with punches from the back.
Barry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barry somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Sousa tries to roll but Barry sticks to his back.

Barry is looking for the choke from the back position but Sousa is controlling his hands well.
Barry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sousa tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Barry sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Sousa to tap. Impressive finish!
