Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cleo Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayer circles away.

Mayer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mayer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Nelson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nelson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mayer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nelson smiles and moves away.

and Nelson counters with a good, hard body kick but Mayer shrugs it off.

Nelson moves into range and clinches up with Mayer.
Mayer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nelson to keep the fight standing.

Mayer closes the distance and clinches up with Nelson, looking for a takedown. Mayer pushes Nelson against the cage but Nelson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nelson misses with the combination.
Nelson throws a right hand that Mayer ducks under and follows up with a left that Mayer also avoids with ease.
Nelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Mayer sprawls well. He's pushed Nelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nelson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Nelson rushes Mayer and presses him up against the cage.
Nelson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mayer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mayer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Mayer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

It looks like Cleo Mayer has been cut.

Mayer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nelson did well to prevent Mayer getting side control.

That's time! Mayer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Mayer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nelson's guard.
Nelson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mayer controls the pace.

Mayer throws a wild hook but Nelson just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Mayer gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Nelson raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
