PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Dapalong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Regan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dapalong comes to the cage accompanied by Du Hast by Rammstein. On his way into the cage it seems that Vincent Dapalong has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vincent Dapalong seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dapalong misses with a hook. Regan ducked under it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Regan misses the target.
Dapalong stuns Regan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Regan shoots in looking for a takedown. Dapalong tries to sprawl out of it but Regan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dapalong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Regan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Regan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dapalong pushes Regan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Regan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Regan cracks Dapalong with a big right hand but Dapalong just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The referee asks Regan politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Regan prefers to stall for the moment though.

Regan moves out of range as Dapalong strikes.
Dapalong throws a one two combo.

It looks like Larry Regan has been cut.
Regan throws the left hand but Dapalong avoids the punch easily.
Regan darts in looking for a takedown but Dapalong gets double underhooks and turns Regan into the cage.

Dapalong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dapalong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Regan throws out the jab.
Regan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dapalong was well out of range. Poor timing from Regan.
Regan motions for Dapalong to come forward. Regan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dapalong smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Regan shoots in for a takedown but Dapalong shows good takedown defense.

Horrible takedown attempt by Regan or perhaps it was just good defense by Dapalong, which made it look bad.

and Dapalong scores with a counter punch that sends Regan to the canvas! Dapalong smells blood - he's punishing Regan with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Regan has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
