The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Farley clinches up against the cage.
Farley working aggressively here.
Farley really is a fat lump.
Farley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Marena up against the cage.
Farley is looking to break free of the clinch but Marena has double underhooks.

Marena escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Farley shoots in for a double leg but Marena sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Farley drives through and clinches with Marena against the cage.

Marena ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Marena no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Farley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Farley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Farley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Farley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Marena tries to kick Farley off but Farley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Farley throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Marena is stalling here. Farley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Marena seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Farley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marena is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mauricio Farley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Farley swings around for an armbar but Marena sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Farley's guard.

Marena decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Marena throws a strike but Farley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Farley is trying to break the clinch but Marena is controlling him.

Farley is looking to stand up but Marena won't let him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marena manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Farley has Marena in his guard.

Marena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Farley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marena looking to sit in guard and control but Farley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Marena is looking for a triangle but Farley pushes his legs off easily.

Farley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Farley wants to control from the top but Marena keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Marena feints and as Farley raises his hands in defense, Marena changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Marena takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Farley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Marena stands and throws Farley's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Marena prevents Farley from escaping the position.
Farley wants to control but Marena postures up.
Marena working the strikes but Farley uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
