Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Maldonado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Zyba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Zyba will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zyba pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Zyba shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Zyba perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Maldonado is trying to get back to full guard.

Zyba stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Maldonado to get to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maldonado drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zyba manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maldonado has Zyba in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Maldonado manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Maldonado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maldonado lands in his opponent's guard.

Zyba gets control of Maldonado's arms and successfully pulls guard. Zyba will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Zyba feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Zyba has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
