Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Boom - P.O.D. The key to victory for Jonathan Thor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thor connects with a solid leg kick.
Thor tries to land a front kick but Schultz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Thor throws a push kick but Schultz slaps the foot to one side.
Schultz wants to clinch up but Thor keeps it at a distance.
Thor dives in for a single leg takedown but Schultz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Schultz takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Bret Schultz has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Thor.

Thor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Schultz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Schultz tries to clinch but Thor moves out of range.
Thor throws a low kick but Schultz moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thor tries for a takedown but Schultz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Thor as Schultz shoots in.
Schultz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thor.
Thor throws a front kick aimed at Schultz's knee but Schultz avoids it well.
Thor tries to work over Schultz's front leg with a kick but Schultz checks it.

Schultz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Thor's legs.

Schultz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thor keeps working.
Schultz is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Schultz has an Americana. Thor didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Schultz is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Schultz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
