Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Francesco Long has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Francesco Long seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas throws a sloppy head kick and Long moves out of range easily.
Long's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vargas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Long scrambles back to his feet.
Vargas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Long in his tracks.
Sloppy strikes from Vargas. Those never looked like landing.
Vargas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Vargas drives through with a takedown into Long's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Long wants to stand up but Vargas is controlling him.
Long keeping moving, preventing Vargas from controlling successfully.

Vargas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Oh Long is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vargas gets to his feet and stands over Long, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Long felt that one! Vargas unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Long from any more punishment!
