The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pippen drops his hands momentarily and Saades takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Saades circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pippen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Saades is looking to slow Pippen down with leg kicks.

Pippen scores with a hook to the body. Saades takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Pippen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Saades makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Pippen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Saades manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Saades throws out a loose jab but Pippen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Saades lands a leg kick that knocks Pippen off balance momentarily.

Pippen looks to score with a jab to the body but Saades is just out of range.

Pippen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pippen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saades moves away.

and Saades counters with a low kick, right behind Pippen 's knee.

Pippen throws a body shot but no joy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pippen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pippen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pippen's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Saades misses with a punch to the body.
Pippen misses with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Saades works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Saades will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pippen up against the cage.
Saades pushes Pippen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Pippen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Saades's elbow.

Saades breaks the clinch.

Saades lands a big head kick that sends Pippen tumbling to the mat! Saades takes a step backwards and waves Pippen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Pippen is rocked!

It looks like Scottie Pippen has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saades throws a powerful right kick. Pippen tried to block low but the kick was high! Pippen was taken right off of his feet! Saades jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
