The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narushima wants to slow James down by chopping away at his legs.

Horrible takedown attempt by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Narushima, which made it look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Narushima tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but James wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
James creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Narushima sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Narushima, who protects the arm well.
James tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

James has hold of Narushima's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Narushima seems comfortable defending it but James has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Narushima is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Narushima is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but James couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David James!
David James is the new super heavyweight champion!
David James decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
