Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sobieski!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thor thows a left - swing and a miss!
Thor misses with an uppercut. Sobieski saw that one coming.
Sobieski has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thor is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sobieski shoots in for a takedown but Thor shows good takedown defense.
Thor takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Sobieski counters with a shoot takedown. Thor fights it but they end up in guard.
Sobieski slips nicely into half guard.
Sobieski wants to pass the guard but Thor is defending well.
Thor is trying to maintain the position but Sobieski is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sobieski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Thor parries the strikes from Sobieski easily there. Sobieski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thor to escape.
