Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nadir has chosen M.A.S.H Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir scores with a body shot.
Nadir swings away with a leg kick that misses.
We've been told by Calderon's head coaches at The Lion's Den that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Calderon misses with a two punch combination.
Nadir moves out of range of the body kick from Calderon.
Nadir lands with a cross.
Nadir tries to close the distance and clinch but Calderon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nadir throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nadir throws a right and a left that Calderon avoids nicely.
Nadir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Calderon.
Nadir tests Calderon's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Nadir wants to clinch up but Calderon keeps it at a distance.
Felipe Calderon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nadir is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Calderon's half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Calderon has his foot on Nadir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nadir works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nadir seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Calderon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nadir throws a leg kick which misses Calderon's front leg but catches the back leg as Calderon tries to avoid it.

and Nadir counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Calderon!

Calderon is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Calderon is pressing down on Nadir's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Oh Calderon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nadir gets to his feet and stands over Calderon, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Calderon felt that one! Nadir unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Calderon from any more punishment!

During a confident post fight interview, Abed Nadir thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
