The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia blocks a jab.

Garcia closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Putin breaks from the clinch.
Garcia walks into a straight right hand from Putin.
Beast Putin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Putin takes a swing at Garcia's ribcage but misses.

Garcia shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Garcia showed some decent athleticism there.

Garcia wants to work for an arm triangle but Putin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garcia is working for a kimura but Putin is defending it quite comfortably.

Garcia is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Garcia really is a fat lump.

Putin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garcia defends well.
Garcia is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Garcia postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Putin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Garcia, into his guard.

Putin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Putin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Garcia throws his legs up looking for a submission but Putin uses it to pass to side control.

Putin has control of an arm but Garcia manages to advance to Putin's back!
You can see the frustration on Putin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Garcia is looking for a rear naked choke here but Putin reverses the position brilliantly into Garcia's guard!
Garcia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Putin is fighting to break Garcia's control of his arms but Garcia is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Putin drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Putin as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Garcia screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Putin! Nice submission victory there!
