Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandar Kamenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamenov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Korn - Hey Daddy. Burns has chosen Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three - The Roof Is On Fire as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aleksandar Kamenov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Burns!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamenov throws a quick inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kamenov.
Burns throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kamenov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A shot to the liver by Kamenov. Beautiful body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kamenov. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kamenov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kamenov misses with a looping left.
Burns fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Burns fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kamenov sprawls well initially but Burns persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kamenov trying to control but Burns postures up.
Kamenov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Burns is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Burns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kamenov keeps working.
Burns is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kamenov!

Kamenov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Burns in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kamenov is trying to stand up.
BOOM! Burns connects with a massive shot to the dome!


It looks like Aleksandar Kamenov has been cut.

Burns is working for a guillotine from mount but Kamenov frees his head quite easily.
Kamenov wants to control but Burns is having none of it.

Burns working for a submission but Kamenov is keeping him at bay.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamenov regains half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Burns tries to pass to full mount but Kamenov defends it.
Kamenov is looking to control Burns's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kamenov avoid being mounted?

Kamenov wants to get back to his feet.

Burns is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kamenov pushes Burns off looking to stand but Burns dives back in and keeps control.

Kamenov is doing well to control the position and prevent Burns from advancing to side control.

Burns is keen to just control but Kamenov is a slippery customer.

Burns is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kamenov has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kamenov is positioning himself well to prevent Burns advancing to mount.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Burns is thwarting Kamenov's attempts to control the position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Burns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kamenov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Burns has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kamenov misses with a few strikes there.
Kamenov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
Kamenov misses with a head kick.
Kamenov throws a lazy right hand but Burns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Burns shoots in and drives through. Kamenov sprawls well.
Burns on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kamenov. Kamenov obviously looking to wear him down.
Burns connects with a nice looking jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamenov moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Burns shoots in but Kamenov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Aleksandar Kamenov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Burns.
Kamenov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kamenov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Burns is out of range.

Burns gets a double leg takedown into Kamenov's guard.
Burns trying to control but Kamenov is working from the bottom.
Kamenov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Kamenov is keeping the position.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Kamenov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kamenov is on top in guard.


Kamenov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kamenov content to stall in guard here.
Kamenov wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.

Burns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kamenov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Burns has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Burns keeping moving, preventing Kamenov from controlling successfully.
Kamenov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Burns has his feet on Kamenov's thighs here. He's pushed Kamenov off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kamenov screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Brian Burns spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
