The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumonte wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
McPhearson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dumonte is fending him off so far but McPhearson persists. Nope, Dumonte circles away and we're back to standing.
A lazy left from Dumonte finds it's target.

enabling Dumonte to counter with a crisp jab.

Dumonte throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McPhearson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McPhearson shoots for a takedown but Dumonte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stephen Dumonte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua McPhearson.

Dumonte clinches up with McPhearson and pushes him back against the cage.

Dumonte drops McPhearson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! McPhearson is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

McPhearson is rocked!
Dumonte is muscling McPhearson up against the cage and as McPhearson bounces back off, Dumonte cracks him with a huge right hand! McPhearson crumples to the mat - he's out cold! This one is all over!

Stephen Dumonte decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
