Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenichi Shirahama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenichi Shirahama!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shirahama swats away the attempt to clinch by Luiz.
David Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luiz has managed to clinch.
Shirahama looking for a takedown.
Luiz stalling in the clinch but Shirahama improves position.
Luiz has Shirahama pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shirahama manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Luiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Shirahama walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Luiz wants to take the fight to the mat but Shirahama manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Shirahama takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luiz is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rooster's Coop that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Shirahama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Luiz defends it easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Luiz. Shirahama does a little dance to reset his feet.

Luiz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Luiz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Luiz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Shirahama down.

Luiz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shirahama is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

I would just about give that final round to Kenichi Shirahama.
I think Luiz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
