The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sayers misses with an attempted mid kick.

Sayers drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sayers is looking to take a break and control but Day is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sayers tries to advance to mount but Day denies him.
Day gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Day looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sayers is looking for a kimura but Day is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sayers to get the leverage.
Day regains full guard. Nicely done.

Sayers being controlled here momentarily.
Day looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sayers is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Day is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sayers has his hands clasped together but Day extends and breaks Sayers's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Day.
