Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nari Vari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Allen Sparks!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sparks is defended easily by Vari.
Vari connects with a solid leg kick.
Sparks scores with a head kick.
Vari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sparks throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Vari punishes Sparks's body with a nice straight punch.
Vari throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sparks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sparks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vari lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Allen Sparks has been cut.
Vari keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sparks.
Vari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sparks moves away.
Sparks throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vari lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nari Vari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vari gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sparks to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vari wants to stand and escape but Sparks is having none of it.
Sparks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sparks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Vari keeping moving, preventing Sparks from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sparks postures up in Vari's guard and throws a big left but Vari blocks it.

Vari utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sparks stops Vari from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vari moves out of range of the strikes.
Sparks misses the shot to the body.
A head kick from Sparks lands but Vari takes it in his stride.

Vari moves into the clinch.
Vari is trying to break the clinch but Sparks is controlling him.
Sparks lands an elbow just above Vari 's eye.

It looks like Nari Vari has been cut.
Sparks comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Vari is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sparks just misses with a elbow thrown towards Vari's brow.
Oh Vari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sparks lands a nice shot to the body.
Vari seems to have got his legs back now.

Sparks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vari throws a leg kick but Sparks sees it coming and moves out of range.
Vari scores with a jab. Sparks acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Vari looks to score with a jab to the body but Sparks is just out of range.
Sparks is looking to chop away at Vari's legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sparks slips under a jab.
Sparks throws a nice outside leg kick.
Sparks misses with a head kick.
Sparks throws a quick inside leg kick.
Vari closes the distance and lands a one-two.
No joy there for Vari, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vari is looking to wear down Sparks with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Vari misses with a hook
and Sparks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vari throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vari scores with a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Sparks.
Vari misses the jab.
Vari swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sparks finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Vari lands a jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sparks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sparks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vari tries to avoid it but Sparks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vari to the ground. Vari escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vari. That's going to slow Sparks down.
Sparks throws a chopping leg kick but Vari manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Vari throws a hook but Sparks blocks it.
Vari has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sparks finds it's way round the side to connect with Vari's head.
Vari takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vari misses the shot to the body.
Sparks takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Sparks drives through with a takedown into Vari's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Vari wants to stand but Sparks is controlling the position.
Sparks forces his way into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Allen Sparks will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sparks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vari looks to land a right hand but Sparks moved out of range.
Vari connects with a leg kick. Sparks looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vari misses with a body shot.
Vari lands with a right hand.
Good shot there by Vari.
Sparks misses with a low kick as Vari jumps back.
Sparks blocks a jab.
Sparks fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vari works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sparks digs a good hook to Vari's body.
Vari is pawing at Sparks, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Sparks's nose. Sparks is badly hurt! Vari pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Sparks tries desperately to hold on but Vari is relentless in his assault! As Sparks receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Vari away and this one is in the books!
