The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawke misses with a right hand
and Campbell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Campbell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Hawke takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hawke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Campbell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Campbell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Campbell counters with a head kick. That will keep Hawke thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
John Hawke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Campbell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hawke looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Campbell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Campbell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hawke has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hawke there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
