Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Judson Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Loop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon Loop will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Judson Jacobson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leon Loop!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loop shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jacobson pinned against the cage. Jacobson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Loop looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Loop thuds his shin into the meat of Jacobson's side.
Jacobson shoots in and drives through. Loop sprawls well.
Jacobson wants to clinch.

Jacobson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacobson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Loop is just riding it out for now. Jacobson eventually gives up the hold.
Loop wants to get back to full guard.

Loop preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Loop wants to control the action here but instead Jacobson manages to pass to full mount!

Jacobson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Loop has worked his arm free - good work by Loop!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jacobson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Loop has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jacobson but great work by Loop.
Jacobson can't do much from the bottom here.
Jacobson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Loop.

Loop stands up.
Loop stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Loop wants it to stay on the feet.

Jacobson stuffs the takedown.
Judson Jacobson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Loop.
Loop shoots in and drives through. Jacobson sprawls well.
Loop shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jacobson or perhaps it was just good defense by Loop, which made it look bad.
Jacobson takes a swing at Loop's ribcage but misses.
Loop dives in for a single leg takedown but Jacobson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Loop is trying to drag Jacobson to the mat but Jacobson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jacobson jumps guard but Loop turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jacobson tries to pull guard but Loop holds him up against the cage and eventually Jacobson drops back down to his feet.
Loop wants to take the fight to the mat but Jacobson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jacobson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Loop to keep the fight standing.
Loop is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jacobson jumps guard.
Jacobson is breathing heavily.
Jacobson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jacobson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jacobson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jacobson looking to control but Loop passes into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Loop not doing much here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Judson Jacobson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jacobson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Loop. That one must have hurt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jacobson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jacobson gets underhooks to prevent Loop's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacobson jumps guard but Loop stands there with Jacobson around his waist. Jacobson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Loop pulls guard successfully.
Loop is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Loop wants to get back to his feet but Jacobson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jacobson is looking to work some ground and pound but Loop has wrist control.
Jacobson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Jacobson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Loop has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jacobson has managed to get both his arms back between Loop's legs - danger averted.
Jacobson throws a big right hand that misses.

Loop is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jacobson is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jacobson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loop.
Leon Loop is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Loop takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jacobson darts in looking for a takedown but Loop gets double underhooks and turns Jacobson into the cage.

Jacobson pulls Loop into guard.
Jacobson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Loop slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Loop would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jacobson has his foot on Loop's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Loop works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Loop wants to control from the top but Jacobson keeps moving.
Loop wants to pass the guard but Jacobson is keeping the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Loop postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jacobson tries for a takedown but Loop sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Loop is looking to take this one to the mat.
Loop has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jacobson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jacobson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Loop just stands there and leans against the cage.

Loop's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Loop stalling against the cage.

Loop keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jacobson's efforts to push away.
Jacobson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A nice left hand lands by Loop.

Jacobson manages to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leon Loop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Loop jumps guard and drags Jacobson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Loop has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jacobson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Loop breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Loop is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jacobson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Loop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jacobson as he avoids it easily.

Jacobson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Loop pushes Jacobson off looking to stand but Jacobson dives back in and keeps control.
Jacobson is thwarting Loop's attempts to control the position.

Jacobson throwing shots but Loop is blocking nicely.
Loop has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobson is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
