Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Riberio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gasan Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magomedov has chosen "Remedy" by Seether as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riberio moves into the clinch.

Magomedov won't allow Riberio to sweep him here.
Magomedov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Riberio works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Riberio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Magomedov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riberio is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Magomedov defends well.
Magomedov wants to control from the top but Riberio keeps moving.

Magomedov content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Riberio has locked up a guillotine! Riberio's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Magomedov is holding on here and Riberio must be using up a lot of energy. Magomedov has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Riberio gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Alexandre Riberio decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Gasan Magomedov spoke after the fight, saying 'That loss sucked. Guess I have to go wrestle some more bears!'.
