Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eiji Kawashima and Alexander Blaze. Blaze is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eazy E - Real muthafuckin G's. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters circling - Blaze throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Blaze has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kawashima shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Blaze throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kawashima stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Some bone on bone action there as Kawashima checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Kawashima might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blaze has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blaze and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kawashima's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Blaze connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kawashima scrambles back to his feet.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blaze, as that shot connected.
Kawashima takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Blaze checks a leg kick.

Kawashima clinches up against the cage.

Blaze breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kawashima lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Blaze looks to land a combination. Kawashima sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Kawashima slips a straight right by Blaze.
Kawashima throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nice straight punches there by Blaze. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Blaze.
Oh Kawashima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
