Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lacy Vang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lacy Vang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes.

James gets a clinch.

James is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip James to the mat. James regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Vang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Vang drops back, looking for a kneebar! James looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. James looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from James!


James tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no James has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vang struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James wants to stand but Vang is controlling his arm.

Vang wants to control but James postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James stands up and beckons Vang to his feet.

James shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vang manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
James looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Vang controls James momentarily but James frees himself.

Vang wants to sweep but no luck.
James wants to get up but he can't break Vang's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
James tries to free his leg and advance position but Vang is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

James rushes Vang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

James gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Vang is trying is best to control the position here.

James is trying to control the action in half guard but Vang is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

James is working for a submission of some sort.

James not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Vang keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vang's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vang seems keen to control James's posture.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
James wants to control from the top but Vang keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

James has hold of one of Vang's legs. Vang is fighting the takedown attempt but James gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Vang tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Vang misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Vang is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
James manages to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vang is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

James is pressing down on Vang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Vang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vang is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Vang has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of James is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lacy Vang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Vang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
James has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Vang wants to stand but James is controlling his arm.

Vang pulls guard.
James is looking to stand up but Vang won't let him.
James wants to stand and escape but instead Vang has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vang wants to stand but James is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lacy Vang dominated that second round.
That's time! Vang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Vang shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Vang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

James shoots in and bounces Vang off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vang.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

James rushes Vang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

James successfully pulls guard.
Jesse James has got the better of the ground game so far.

James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vang defends well.
Vang in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James has his foot on Vang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vang works his way back into a safe position though.
Vang is working James over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Vang distracts James with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Vang keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head.

Vang jumps guard and drags James to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
James wants to control from the top but Vang keeps moving.
Vang is pulling down on James's head to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

James wants to pass the guard but Vang is keeping the position.
Vang keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
Vang pulls James in close to prevent any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Vang looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jesse James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
