Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Marchand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galaxy Nexus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galaxy Nexus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Marchand with that takedown attempt.
A combination from Nexus does no damage.
Marchand lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nexus circles away quickly and effectively.
Nexus connects with a single shot there.
Marchand misses with a jab, cross combination.

Nexus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marchand manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Nexus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marchand's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nexus keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Marchand's head.
Marchand seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Nexus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marchand's guard.

Galaxy Nexus dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Marchand throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nexus on the side of the head.
Marchand throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nexus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marchand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nexus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nexus lands a two punch combo.

Marchand is rocked!
Nexus darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Marchand's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Nexus before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
