PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony KIeras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anselmo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony KIeras and Anselmo Harris. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony KIeras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anselmo Harris!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KIeras circles away from the clinch attempt

and KIeras counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by KIeras.
KIeras preventing the sweep.

Harris had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. KIeras defends it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KIeras wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

Harris is adopting a defensive guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.

KIeras is trying to keep Harris in close.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

KIeras has his foot on Harris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harris works his way back into a safe position though.
Harris advances to half guard.
Harris is nestled in close to KIeras, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Harris tries to pass the half guard into mount. KIeras knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Harris is thwarting KIeras's attempts to control the position.
Harris is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! KIeras is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
