Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Errol Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Carl Jones enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Errol Kirby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carl Jones!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a wild body kick that Kirby sees coming a mile off.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kirby shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kirby is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kirby's shoulder. That is not cool.

Kirby manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jones's best efforts.

Jones decides to return to a standing position.

Jones feints and as Kirby raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Kirby is retaining full guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Kirby keeps moving.

Kirby wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.

Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kirby napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jones tries to advance to mount but Kirby denies him.
Jones laying and praying for a moment but Kirby takes advantage and regains half guard.

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kirby did well to prevent Jones getting side control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kirby can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kirby is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Kirby throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kirby's guard. Nice move by Jones!

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kirby's guard.

That's time! Kirby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones wants to take a breather but Kirby is having none of it.

Carl Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
