Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between CJ Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Tracy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2pac & Dr.Dre - California Love. Tracy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You Can Kiss My Irish Arse kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, CJ Johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Tracy!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Johnson.
We've been hearing reports that Johnson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Johnson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Tracy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Johnson takes one to the chin there.
Tracy throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Tracy misses with a lunging right hand

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tracy won't be happy with that.
Tracy wants to control but Johnson postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tracy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Johnson jumps into side control!

Tracy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Tracy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that CJ Johnson will probably get the nod.

A punch lands to the side of Tracy 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Tracy didn't expect that.

That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Tracy moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.

Tracy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that CJ Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Tracy lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tracy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnson - the referee stops the clock and Tracy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnson. Tracy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Tracy gets caught napping as Johnson dives in and scores a takedown. Tracy manages to retain guard.
