Welsh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lets Have A War. The Steel Penn Alliance is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Welsh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel Penn Alliance throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Welsh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Steel Penn Alliance is in Welsh's guard.

Welsh wants to get back to his feet but Steel Penn Alliance passes into half guard.

Steel Penn Alliance is trying to trip Welsh. He has hold of a leg but Welsh is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Steel Penn Alliance persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Steel Penn Alliance's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Steel Penn Alliance is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Welsh has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Steel Penn Alliance is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Welsh to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Welsh shrugs it off.

Welsh wants to clinch up but Steel Penn Alliance keeps it at a distance.
