Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toupet Nissen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Perry is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toupet Nissen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Perry!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nissen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Perry is defending against the submission attempts here by Nissen.
Nissen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Nissen thows a huge punch but Perry dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perry is trying to get back to full guard.
Nissen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nissen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nissen is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Perry is in trouble now - Nissen has advanced to mount!
Nissen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Perry because Nissen loaded up on that one.
Nissen trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Nissen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Perry has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Perry!
Perry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Perry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nissen is controlling Perry's posture.
Perry throwing strikes but missing.
Nissen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Nissen is looking for a triangle but Perry pushes his legs off easily.
Nissen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nissen is pressing down on Perry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Perry is holding on for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nissen is keen to just control but Perry is a slippery customer.
Nissen wants to stand up but Perry has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Nissen is trying to control the action in half guard but Perry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Nissen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nissen content to control rather than advance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nissen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Perry's head.
Nissen trying to control the action but Perry is working from the bottom.

Nissen is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Perry wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toupet Nissen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Nissen misses with a wild combination.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Perry enables Nissen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Perry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Perry avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Nissen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Perry looking for a sweep. Not yet Perry, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nissen stays in close to Perry's body and controls the position.

Nissen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Perry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Perry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Perry!

Nissen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Perry is thwarting Nissen's attempts to control the position.
Nice strikes from Perry there.
Nissen is looking to control Perry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nissen avoid being mounted?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nissen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Perry scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Nissen won't allow Perry to pass to mount.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perry is looking to stall here but Nissen recovers full guard.
Perry trying to control the position from guard on top but Nissen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Toupet Nissen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Perry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Nissen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Nissen keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Nissen goes for a double leg but Perry avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Perry continues to drive forward.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nissen drags the fight down to the ground.
Nissen wants to stand up but Perry is controlling him.
Nissen trying to keep a closed guard but Perry is proving a slippery customer.

Nissen pushes Perry off and gets back to his feet.
Perry slaps away a takedown attempt from Nissen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nissen tries to sprawl but Perry drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Perry landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Perry is nestled in close to Nissen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Perry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nissen gets caught napping as Perry dives in and scores a takedown. Nissen manages to retain guard.
Nissen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nissen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perry's guard.

Nissen is looking to work some ground and pound but Perry has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perry keeping moving, preventing Nissen from controlling successfully.
Nissen postures up.

Nissen controlling from the top position.
Nissen looking to pass the guard.
Perry pulls Nissen in close to prevent any damage.

Nissen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perry manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nissen has Perry in his guard.

Perry postures up in Nissen's guard and throws a big left but Nissen blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Perry distracts Nissen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nissen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nissen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Perry wants to control from the top but Nissen keeps moving.

Nissen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Perry wants to pass the guard but Nissen is keeping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perry lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Perry's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Nissen keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Perry throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Nissen looks to clinch

and Perry counters with a single leg into guard. Nissen didn't expect that.
Nissen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perry is one step ahead there.

Nissen looking for a triangle here. Perry is fighting it but it looks tight! Nissen pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Perry is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Toupet Nissen!
