PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake LaMotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think LaMotta might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cavalleria Rusticana: Intermezzo. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaMotta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mouse as he avoids it easily.
Mouse avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Decent striking displayed by Mouse there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mouse takes a swing at LaMotta's ribcage but misses.
LaMotta shoots in and drives through. Mouse sprawls well.
LaMotta looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

LaMotta doesn't manage to clinch there - Mouse circles away.

LaMotta looking to sit in guard and control but Mouse gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mouse cracks LaMotta with a big elbow.

LaMotta moves into range and clinches up with Mouse.
Mouse looks to throw an elbow but misses.

LaMotta has clasped his hands together around Mouse's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Jake LaMotta overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mouse is refusing to be controlled, as LaMotta sits in half guard.
Mouse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. LaMotta is working away from the top position though.

LaMotta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mouse is just riding it out for now. LaMotta eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mouse lands a good knee to the midsection. LaMotta won't want to take too many of those.

Mouse manages to break the clinch.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Mouse in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Mouse scores with a shot to the body.
Mouse throws a looping overhand right but LaMotta ducks down to avoid it.
LaMotta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mouse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
LaMotta dives in and grabs Mouse's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mouse pushes down on LaMotta's head and hops out.

Mouse connects with a leg kick. LaMotta looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
LaMotta on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

LaMotta tries to close the distance and clinch but Mouse swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and LaMotta counters with a nice leg kick.
Mouse throws a perfectly timed hook that sends LaMotta crashing down! LaMotta tries to stagger back to his feet but Mouse just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused LaMotta asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Mouse!
Mickey Mouse decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
