Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon has chosen Battle Born - 5FDP as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, William Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Louis Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clay shoots in and gets a takedown into Gordon's guard.
Gordon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Clay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon wants to stand but Clay has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Clay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Clay throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Gordon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Clay keeping moving, preventing Gordon from controlling successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gordon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clay is keeping the position for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gordon doesn't manage to clinch there - Clay circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gordon tries to clinch up but Clay circles away and keeps his distance.
Clay darts in looking for a takedown but Gordon gets double underhooks and turns Clay into the cage.
Gordon gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like William Clay has been cut.
Gordon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gordon lands a nice elbow.
Clay avoids the elbow strike from Gordon, against the cage.
Clay blocks an elbow strike.
Clay tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Clay is trying to break the clinch but Gordon is controlling him.
Clay is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gordon is keeping busy.
Clay avoids the elbow strike from Gordon, against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gordon.

Clay successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gordon is looking to work some ground and pound but Clay has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clay is trying to control the position but Gordon postures up.
Clay keeping moving, preventing Gordon from controlling successfully.

Gordon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clay is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Clay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Clay is trying to control. Gordon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gordon is trying to maintain the position but Clay is very close to passing his half guard.
Gordon wants to get back to his feet.
Gordon is positioning himself well to prevent Clay advancing to mount.
Clay tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gordon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Gordon regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gordon looking for a sweep. Not yet Gordon, not yet.
Clay trying to control but Gordon is working from the bottom.
Gordon has his hands on Clay's head, controlling the position.
Gordon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Clay circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gordon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gordon is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Louis Gordon will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on William Clay's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gordon wants to clinch but Clay slips to the side

and Clay counters by clinching up.
Clay is trying to stall.
Gordon throws an elbow but it misses.
Gordon lands an elbow that stopped Clay in his tracks for a moment.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gordon just misses with a elbow thrown towards Clay's brow.
Clay tries for a takedown. No joy.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gordon.


William Clay's cut is getting worse.
Gordon misses with an elbow strike.
Clay working hard to break the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gordon.
Clay jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gordon walks away with a smile on his face. Clay gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Clay circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clay is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Gordon comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


William Clay's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gordon throws an elbow but misses.
Gordon lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


Jeez, William Clay's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Clay wants a takedown but no success here.
Clay wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gordon lands an elbow just above Clay 's eye.
Gordon misses with an elbow over the top.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gordon throws an elbow but misses.
Gordon pushes off an throws an elbow but Clay leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Gordon lands an elbow inside that Clay shrugs off.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at William Clay's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Louis Gordon!
An out of breath Louis Gordon thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
