Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessandro Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head closes the distance and clinches.
Head tries to land knees in the clinch but Nguyen avoids the damage to the body.
Nguyen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A bit of stalling here from Head.

Head is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Head escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nguyen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Head really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Head has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nguyen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Head had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nguyen defends it easily.
Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nguyen manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Head dives in for a single leg takedown but Nguyen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Head is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nguyen defends well.

Head throws out a loose jab but Nguyen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Nguyen wants to clinch up but Head keeps it at a distance.

Nguyen throws a push kick but Head slaps the foot to one side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nguyen. Head does a little dance to reset his feet.
Head tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nguyen defends well and Head ends up having to push Nguyen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Nguyen with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Head jumps guard but Nguyen stands there with Head around his waist. Head gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nguyen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Head's brow.
A frustrated look appears on Nguyen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Head wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nguyen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Head is trying to pull guard but Nguyen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Nguyen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Head tries for a takedown but Nguyen manages to get underhooks.

Head wants to break free but Nguyen has control.
Head wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nguyen has him pressed against the cage.
Head stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Nguyen tries to land a knee to the head but Head blocks with his arms.

Alessandro Nguyen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nguyen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Head haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

I would just about give that final round to Alessandro Nguyen.
I think Nguyen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
